On the 20th until the 28th of February 2025, 29 participants from four different countries, Greece, Georgia, Türkıye and North Macedonia, gathered in Athens, the capital of Greece, to take part in the Erasmus+/YOUTH Project, called “TIMELESS GAMES”.  The goal of this Youth Exchange was to showcase inclusion in a social and cultural level, through the impact that traditional games posses.

Each country, along with a number of activities and workshops, had prepared a plethora of traditional games from their region, to show and share with the rest of the participants. Each day the participants were taking a trip down memory lane, presenting the games that they used to play as children.

However, since the topic of the project was inclusion, after each activity, a wonderful environment of fruitful discussions and brainstorming was being created by not only the Facilitators of the YE, but from all of the participants.

Other than games and fruitful discussions, the participants got connected with their creativity! So many wonderful creations and posters promoting the topic of the project were made during different activities! Additionally, based on the traditional games and activities, implemented throughout the Project, the "INCLUSION PALYBOOK: Traditional Games for All" (attached below). This playbook embodies an approach where the timeless cultural value of traditional play meets modern principles of social inclusion, providing facilitators with practical tools for fostering environments that support equity, participation, and intercultural understanding.

It’s safe to say that this project was completed succefully due to amazing, kind individuals with strong opinions,  who are willing and ready to shape tomorrows society, in their own way.
